<h2>Sheila Hall is running for Chilton County Commission</h2><h3>Maplesville Town Councilwoman, health care professional, and first female-of-color to run for Chilton County Commission; Sheila will be a voice for everyone in Chilton County.</h3><h4>Strong foundation</h4><p><strong>Born and raised in Maplesville</strong>, with an Army veteran father, a lunchroom-worker mother, and five siblings, Sheila took an early interest in being a <strong>caregiver and helping others</strong>. She served as a Jaycee for three years before graduating from Maplesville High School. Her childhood inspiration came from her parents, who encouraged her to <strong>"make something good" of herself, and to always be kind and honest</strong>.</p><h4>Skilled by experience</h4><p><strong>Sheila charted her own path</strong>: pursuing a Registered Nursing degree at Wallace State Community College (Selma), through Pell grants and personal funding. <strong>Working with people in many types of environments</strong>--including care facilities, hospitals, dialysis centers, and treatment clinics--she adapted quickly and advanced into management. Sheila has learned by experience how to <strong>think strategically, manage conflict, and consider multiple points-of-view.</strong> She has long been engaged in <strong>local service</strong>, volunteering in fire and emergency response roles in Maplesville.</p><h4>Proven leader</h4><p>Her husband, William, two sons, Travius and Kelvin, and four grandkids keep Sheila focused on building a better future for local folks. Sheila <strong>won office for the first time, for Maplesville Town Council, in 2012</strong>, running a door-to-door, person-to-person campaign. During her time as councilwoman, she has learned how to <strong>govern effectively, while standing firm on her convictions</strong>. Sheila has been <strong>reelected twice</strong>, while building strong support beyond her district. In her free time, she founded a ladies traveling group because she values learning by experience.</p><h4>Focused on the issues</h4><p>Sheila is running for Chilton County Commission because <strong>she can be a voice for everyone, promoting diversity and engagement for all</strong>, regardless of race, gender, or political differences. Her personal motivation blends into her professional experience. Sheila wants <strong>improvements in how healthcare, infrastructure, and development are managed</strong> across Chilton County.</p><h4>Moving Chilton County forward</h4><p>Over the past few decades, Chilton County has become increasingly diverse, but this has not been reflected in local town, city, and county government. Sheila is ready to <strong>open the door to a more representative and inclusive kind of leadership.</strong> She has the experience and temperament to make it happen. Sheila can push for the County Commission to be proactive, instead of reactive, <strong>moving Chilton County forward.</strong></p>
